Strava Wear OS 3 app could be the start of a worrying trend

There has been an updated spirit in the Ecosystem Party using OS thanks to the announcement of the upgrade OS Big Wear immediately and partly due to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, the first and so far only to use Wear OS 3. Of course, it will support all the wear of SmartWatch OS 3 that will come in the future, but the future is still far at this time. Unfortunately, it also produced some confusion over the application OS 2 Wear Company Social Company.

Strava has now clarified the situation in a way that the user might not want to be heard. It’s pretty much ending active support for longer intelligent watches, especially those who run OS 2. Applications can still be accessed and used, of course, they’re just not going to ‘get updates again.

This reflects the gap that can widen between using OS 2 and 3 in the coming months. Google has started the trend by holding new YouTube and Google Maps applications from longer smartwatches. The Wear OS telegram application also disappears mysteriously, though hopefully only because it is preparing a new one. Instead, the offline spotify listening feature is available for all OS Smartwatches, regardless of the version.

The situation won’t be as bad if there are more OS 3 devices to choose from, but there is no news about anyone who makes it. Even Fossil Gen 6 SmartWatch still runs using OS 2, which means you don’t have access to the new application. The earliest smartwatch that might be upgraded to use OS 3 may not be up to mid 2022, which means that we might see new and stronger OS applications that almost nothing can be used until then.
