Fortnite’s big UI redesign makes it easier to find non-battle royale games

Epic surprises Fortnite players with the latest game updates by applying the main interface redesign. Companies usually leave this big design change to launch the new season, but it’s not this this time. Among other things, the new interface makes it easier to find the game you want, especially those who are not a royale battle.

If you have turned on the game at any time for the past few days, you don’t hesitate to find a redesigned interface that appears when choosing game mode. The new UI displays four tabs that allow users to quickly jump between finding games to play, access content in your library, create your own island, or enter an island code without first in creative mode.

Among other things, the new interface also categorizes games based on which genres where they can, for example, scroll through banners full of Deathrun’s game, adding anything they like to their library by clicking ‘heart’ icon. Other banners show different games and experiences by category, including stock mode games from EPIC (Team rumbling, team, and the like).

Games and experiences displayed in the new Discovery menu include tags, which presents relevant details about each entry and what it offers. Players can use game tags to see things like what type of feature might include, as well as a map description. Beyond it, players can also choose from a curated feature section where popular and new games are served.

Competitive games, meanwhile, are now found in their own competitive categories, which must help players who want to focus on the experience of Fortnite Esports. When entering creatively, players will no longer see the ‘Play’ option, instead of matchmaking directly into the public lobby. Players who are not interested in public lobby can arrange creatively to personal mode.
