Drupo is not the only Big-Streamer of Twitch with Twitch everywhere for YouTube. Timthetatman (Aka Tim Betar) announced that he will broadcast “exclusively” on YouTube Gaming on September 2nd. He did not explain the reasons behind the jump, but it comes less than two years after he (more Drupo and Saqib “Lirik” Zahid) signed a matter of several years with Twitch.
Twitch did not enacted a formal response. He wanted Timthetatman of course Twitter, however, saying that the Streamer would be “always being a king” in the service he left.
This is not yet certain that this represents a second wave of twitch defections. Microsoft has stimulated the first round, paying ninja, fairing and other upper banners to jump from the ship for the mixer. We did not expect a similar result, however. The mixer struggled to compete against its livestreaming rivals, leading to Microsoft to close the service. The creators had to quickly find alternatives and some of them returned to Twitch with exclusive offers. YouTube is in a considerably stronger position, even if it’s not the dominant home for live play streaming.
Nevertheless, movements represent players for Timthetatman, Dulupo and other people who could follow. While many larger creators have a YouTube presence established for their on-demand videos, this does not guarantee that they will look live live shows on Google’s service. Nevertheless, it could be a boost for YouTube – and a shot to counteract if it can not hold its best-known stars.
