Microsoft may have given up on folded Windows PC ideas, both single or double screens, but other OEMs have taken slack. Although the Asus Precog Dual-Screen Project device is just a prototype concept, Lenovo does launch the fold of ThinkPad X1 and a folding screen on the market last year. Now it seems that Samsung can follow the settings to prove their expertise in everything folded with the Galaxy Fold 17 book that might be coming soon.
Everyone wants a bigger or extra screen, even those who have a large monitor on a laptop and desktop. On the other hand, some people also prefer more portable devices, but the balance between the two aspects is always difficult to do with conventional devices. Folding devices try to offer different solutions, although not without their own compromise.
Ever the dreamer, the arm of making Samsung looks teasing some innovations that have worked back in May. To a certain extent, some of them have occurred, with a folding screen and the bottom camera of the screen already exists on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Of course, it is still a cellphone or tablet sized and far from the vision that Samsung has in the mind.
Ice Universe recently dropped the name “Galaxy Book Fold 17” and left the internet wondering what might mean. Ben Beskin then reminded the web about 17-inch Samsung folding laptops from the video above, trying to connect the points between the two.
For technology fans, it can be another demonstration of the future of computing. Those who have experienced the first Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, however, may be more optimistic. That said, there was no source that hinted on the date for this galaxy book fold 17, but it might not be too far away, it might depend on how Windows 11 turned out to be more suitable for such form factors.
