Analysis: Can the wheel time truly rival the Witcher?
Like many film and TV projects, the first season of the first season was influenced by Pandemic Covid-19. With film deviations on May 2021, though, Amazon has moved quickly to resolve post-production on the show so it can be released this year.
Strangely, the wheel release time put it on the collision line with the second season of Witcher Netflix series. Not surprisingly, it means that there will be two heavyweight fantasy shows leading to the head in the last month of this year.
On the surface, the wheel of the launch of the wheel time time season 1 November ensures that there will be enough space for each show to breathe. However, closer inspections of the release schedule each series show two series will collide at some point in December.
The Amazon time wheels can be prime in mid-November, but new episodes will be released every week. That means that the fifth and sixth installments will each arrive on December 17 and December 24.
All 10 episodes of Witcher Season 2, meanwhile, will arrive at Netflix on the same date: December 17.
So the time wheel and Witcher will cross the road at some point. The first will have a few weeks before its competitors arrived but, when mid-December rolled, it was unavoidable that these two fantasy titans would vie for viewers.
Then it will be very interesting, then, to see who comes out above. Although the reviews diverse for season 1, magicians still attract a large number in December 2019. With the wheel time looking to take it, The Witcher Season 2 has fierce competition for the fantasy crown.
Add the fact that the two biggest ribbons will go to the head of fantasy, and this particular battle can be a very tempting to monitor at the end of this year.
