The iOS 15 Release Apple will appear right in the corner, and if history is an indication, it will arrive at the end of September. And while some iPhone users download new iOS updates when they enter, others tend to avoid new iOS updates if their system doesn’t run smoothly.
Although new iOS updates always introduce interesting new features, the reality is that new iOS updates can sometimes slow down the device. Even though Apple works hard to introduce improved performance with every iOS update, the reality is a new iOS update mainly designed for newer hardware. So, iOS 15 will run on the iPhone 6s, but that doesn’t mean it’s a decent upgrade if you have a long device.
What’s faster, iOS 15 or iOS 14.7.1?
To help answer that question, there is a video that makes a round that prohibits the iPhone running iOS 15 to the iPhone running iOS 14.7.1. To be clear, iOS 15 is still in the beta version and maybe the shipping version will look different.
The video below is instructive because it shows how longer hardware performance with iOS 15 beta 8. If you have a longer iPhone, this video is definitely a military service.
IOS 15 more about new features rather than system performance
As proven from the video above, the iPhone has booted a little faster with iOS 14.7.1 from iOS 15. What’s more, testing does not show a significant speed increase between two cellular operating systems.
In fact, if you watch videos carefully, you will note that some tasks – such as opening the map application – running a little faster on iOS 14.7.1 from iOS 15. This difference is reduced with a newer iPhone. However, it, underlines the fact that iOS new iteration is mainly designed for newer devices.
Should you update to iOS 15? Well, that’s a difficult question. If you have an older device like an iPhone SE, you might see a little delay in performance. However, if you want to enjoy some new iOS 15 features, it might be worth the trade-off.
IOS 15 feature to search
iOS 15 is not the most severe update the features we’ve ever seen, but still interesting correctly. Some important features can be seen below:
SharePlay – This feature will not arrive in September, but also the most interesting additional iOS 15. As the name implies, Shareplay allows users to listen to songs and other media simultaneously. It also functions across the device. Enter it differently, iPhone users can enjoy media content with friends who happen to be on Mac or iPad.
Security updates without updating – if you want to avoid potentially budagy iOS updates, iOS 15 will allow users to install security updates separately.
Enhanced text selection – Loupe enlargement for the text cursor selection will return. Apple Notes: You can “choose exactly the text you want with an enhanced cursor that enlarges the text you see.”
Enhanced Apple Maps – Apple Maps will eventually let users look for travel instructions while determining the time of the desired arrival or departure.
Drag and release between applications – users can draw and drop files between applications. For example, you can finally draw images from your photo application into e-mail messages.
Temporary increase in iCloud storage when backing up your device – Backing up your device will be easier than before. If you lack storage, Apple will give you unlimited iCloud storage to make a temporary backup when setting a new iPhone.
